Haiti, the pearl

By Rose

Haiti, my mother earth, which is

Pure laughter, Konpu, and

Raboday.

Haiti, mountainous land

That resists mighty winds.

Haiti, the warmth of the sun on your

Skin, drinking a coconut water

Under a palm tree, feeling

So alive.

Haiti, I love people fighting

For their dreams, as our ancestors taught us to

Never give up.

Haiti, is relief from pain,

With a good prestige.

Pumpkin soup on the

First of January.

Haiti, I am from the

Place of 365 doors, of

The public fountain.

I am from

The Pearl of the Caribbean.
