Young Radish is an online magazine of poetry and art by kids and teens. In our society, adult opinions, writing, and art are too often seen as more important than those of kids. But we know that young people have things to say, and we think kids’ ideas offer us insight into how things are and imaginative ways of seeing how things could be. We want to help you share your creativity with the world!

Even though we ourselves are older folks, we created a magazine for children and teens because writing and art-making is a way for young people to see their communities in a critical way. We hope that young people will write and create art that questions: who has power, why institutions are the way they are, how we speak about people and relationships, and how to feel free and whole just as we are.
